Fishing Birthday

This was a last minute card. Tony called from work around 4 asking me to make a card for a friend that needed to be ready by the morning. That seems like a lot of time but not with a toddler running around! I really only had about 3 hours. With that said I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome.

The images are from Doodle Dragon Studios and the Woodgrain paper is from DCWV All About Boys paper stack.

Welcome Baby Card & Gift Box

I made this adorable little card for Tony's cousin. Him and his wife are expecting a boy. The image is from Doodle Dragon Studios and colored with Prismacolor pencils. I used a glitter gel pen and Stickles to make the rattle pop. I also used the glitter gel on the sentiment and Stickles on the handprint sticker. The baby rattle paper is from The Paper Studio Jung-a-low Bung-a-low Baby paper pack.

I also made a gift box to go with it. I used the same materials as the card along with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Tumbled Glass to give a cloudy look to the image and sentiment. On the inside of the box I used the rest of the rattle paper to give the box a little extra support and decoration. Finished it off with a little ribbon and bow.

Little Something Gift Box Tutorial

I made this gift box for Tony's cousin. Him and his wife have a little boy on the way.

I love making this box. It's so quick and simple to make. The overall size is 4 1/2" x 7" x 2"

My image is from Doodle Dragon Studio.

The supplies I used...
     2 Sheets of Cardstock
          1- 8 1/2" x 11"
          1- 8 1/2" x 10 7/8"
     Image & Sentiment
     Corner Punch
     Ink (For Accent)
     Ribbon
     Glue
     Extra Cardstock

Top: 8 1/2" x 11"
Score at 2" on all 4 sides.
Cut on both long edges.
Glue together.

Bottom: 8 1/2" x 10 7/8"
Score at 2" on all 4 sides.
Cut on both long edges.
Glue together.

Inside of finished box:

To give them a little extra strength I cut a piece of cardstock to fit inside and glued it in place.

To finish off the outside of the box I ran the Colorbox (Surf) ink pad around the edges of the top. Attached my image and my sentiment. I used the Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Tumbled Glass) on the edge of the image and sentiment. Put the box together and tied a ribbon around to hold it closed.

Lucky Gold Cookie Box

This is a little box I made for St. Patricks Day. I found a tutorial on Big Smiles From Kbear. The image is from Doodle Dragon Studios. I made some cookies and wrapped them in gold cellophane so they looked like gold coins. I forgot to take a picture of that part.

Fairy Godmother Card

There's so many birthdays this month! Here is one I made for a 13 year old girl. I made the background myself using a light purple and iridescent white acrylic paint. I sprayed it with water to give it a slightly spotty distressed look. You can't really tell but the top wing is popped and sprayed with Shimmer Spritz in Frost. The image is from the Ever After set from Doodle Dragon Studios. I used the sketch from Flutter By Wednesday.

I also did a lot to the inside. The image is also from the Doodle Dragon Studios Ever After set. I popped the tassels a lot and the shoe just a tad. Then covered the outside of the shoe with Inkssentials Glossy Accents to give it a glass look and a little dimension.
